To me, you can still have a trimmed Cal-Looker by just doing the rest of the car as a true Looker, stock height out back and lowered front, (the stance). I guess it's how you do the car. My advise, do what you want to do, it's your car, I did. ;D Enjoy your car.
Ted Title: Re: Side Trim Post by: Neil Davies on July 09, 2013, 07:18:39 am As Richie said, true 70's cal look don't tend to, but more modern versions do. Ted's car is not what I'd call a 70's style cal looker, but it's certainly cal look in my opinion!
It all depends on the era you're going for. My car has colour coded headlamp rims and blacked out handles, which are much later in style, late 70's/ early 80's. Personally tho, if I was building a car from scratch, and it wasn't anything rare or special like an original paint survivor car, I'd weld up the trim holes. When DKP3 started up I think trim became acceptable for cal-look.
