Title: My new 2332 with 48's video
Post by: Fritter on July 31, 2013, 03:12:15 am
This is just after installation in my 64 sedan.  I have since reconfigured the quiet pack to tuck under the fender.

2332, Tims Stage 2 plus heads, 48's, 125 cam with 1.25 rockers, Porsche AL oil cooler, 40 hp shroud, 1 5/8 header, Deano push pull linkage, 019 with one spring.  Tried to make it look like a circa 1971 era motor, but probably has more beans than most street motors back then.   ;D

(Unfortunately this site wouldn't let me embed the code directly)

Wow, this looks great!  I hope my engine will look something like this one day!  Clean, SIMPLE, and effective!

I'd like to see a pic of your Porsche oil cooler. That's next on my list as my engine compartment turbo is heating the oil so much I can't go fast on the highway.  :'(

Sounds good. Have you posted any photos of the completed car. How about it?

X2 . . . sounds really good!
Did you get the rear tin installed yet?

Yep, rear tin is installed, and as I mentioned, the muffler has been reconfigured to tuck under the apron and fender now.  The video was just after I stuffed it in the car.  A 2332 with .150" barrel spacers is a leeeeetle more interesting to get in the car than a 1600!  Not terrible though.

Here is a pic of the car.

Lookin' real good Mike!
I get to have fun in another direction with my project. . . I found out that 1600-based engines are MUCH longer than 36hp engines!
Glad ya got yours to fit in there!
