Post by: Zach Gomulka on August 04, 2013, 17:00:09 pm
I just picked up a set of these in 4340 steel I can't decide if I should use them. Any suggestions, unbiased opinions!

Hi
I would use them! I think it's one of the strongest design! And i like that it is not affected by mass production like + oder H rods are.
If you decide not to use them, let me know...

I just dropped them off with Steve Hollingsworth, he is going to recondition them. They are Porsche journal and 5.5" in length. Very nicely built rods.

Still not sure if I'll run them, I'm sure they are massively over kill for the motor I'll be building, and a little longer than I'll need.

Those are nice and strong rods. i use them in type4 engines like Thomas Kemp and other high hp engines
But make shure they are originals. They are also copied in china like all other products

How do I make sure they are originals? These look exactly like the rods pictured on Cunningham's website, and the rod bolt heads say CUNNINGHAM RODS on them.

Thanks Udo.
Decided to sell them, too long for my application.
