There was a fellow I think from the Antelope Valley, CA that raced a Fiat Tupolino funny car flopper type body.  If I remember right the engine was in the rear.  Red in color.  Nice car.  Anyone know more?

I remember seeing a couple of black guys racing a Topo-bodied VW in the late-1980s/early-'90s.

Weren't there two featured in Hot VWs in the early 80s, one red, one blue/black. I'm sure at least one was mid engined, and one was a sand car. Ring any bells?

That's the Fiat.  I really liked that car.  Nice to know it's still around.

i will ask some friend on FB who are into racing in puerto rico to see if they don't have recent pictures

 Thanks, for checking up on that Speedwell . The car never really ran that hard for the amount of engine it had. I myself used to like that car.  I hear you Jim about reflecting, I would like to find out where the r&m blown bug and the johnny's speed & chrome bug went to.

I never knew it but that engine has split port Scat heads and what could be Hilborn fuel injection.  Wonder if he ran it on alcohol.

 Looks like ladder bars also.

I have some photos of that car burried somewhere, I'll have to try and dig them up.

This is Michael Irwin . . .  I had the "Stage Fright" car in the eighties  . . .

 He ran nitrous on 48's first then went over to injected engine on alcohol.

The car arrive in P.R. in 90s car first run testing 10.8 next year my friend Felipe Losada buy the car and paint black and new name Losada Bros. The car crash in Carolina Race way repair and modify Wheel base Long Losada decide built a pro stock vw and sold me the car! I have the car body chassis broke and fatigued is obsolet today rule when I buy the car no engine no trans!

Posiblie sold the body coming soon, the economy in P.R. not good I have other priority and restructure my engine for street in other body....
