Title: Re: My Project 58 RagTop Post by: Shubee2 (DSK) on August 01, 2007, 12:08:53 pm this looks promising, very nice car to start with, are you gonna keep the coral red ??? I am Not Sure Yet on the Color I dont Want it to Look like a Resto Cal Look so It will most likely get painted a Porsche or BMW color But It will an OLD SCHOOL CAL LOOK ( Dechromed,Lucas Lights,Filled in exhaust ports on rear apron,T Bars,Empi Deck Lid,American Racing 5 Spokes,84x94 Motor, built trans, IDA's, Joe Hunt Magneto,VDO Gauges,Deano Shifter,Etc.)Title: Re: My Project 58 RagTop Post by: louisb on August 01, 2007, 14:07:26 pm Looks like you are making good progress.

Nova looks good, altho a flat hood and the hubcaps would suit the car a little better. Only my opinion... ;D Title: Re: My Project 58 RagTop Post by: Shubee2 (DSK) on August 02, 2007, 13:27:04 pm Would a dechromed Coral Red car look too pink? Might be worth a try. I'm a bit jealous of that car. HUBCAP'S??? And Take off my Rare American Torq Thrust "D's" are you NUTS?? LMAO I Like Both Hoods The Cowl Induction Hood is Steel And I Had Both Hoods Painted and Rubbed when I did the Car Stock wheels and Hubcaps Would Cover up My 4 Wheel Disc Brakes ??Nova looks good, altho a flat hood and the hubcaps would suit the car a little better. Only my opinion... ;D Title: Re: My Project 58 RagTop Post by: Shubee2 (DSK) on August 02, 2007, 13:30:13 pm Would a dechromed Coral Red car look too pink? Might be worth a try. I'm a bit jealous of that car. Why are you Jealous? I Dont Think I want it Coral Red Because I dont Want it to look like all the Others out there Plus A Stock Color is To Resto Cal Nova looks good, altho a flat hood and the hubcaps would suit the car a little better. Only my opinion... ;D Title: Re: My Project 58 RagTop Post by: javabug on August 02, 2007, 15:13:08 pm Yeah a post-sedan Chevy II should be a sleeper! Those wheels are too shiny!!! ;) A skinny whitewall would be perfect.
I'm jealous because '58 is my favorite year for a sunroof car. Also, resto-cal goes out the window with the dechrome job. Title: Re: My Project 58 RagTop Post by: Shubee2 (DSK) on August 02, 2007, 15:53:01 pm It takes more then just a Dechromed car to make an Old School Cal Look thats only the begining of the Build
