Title: Satin Finish Centerlines Post by: leec on November 14, 2013, 19:12:52 pm Hi guys,
Probably already know the answer, can satin finish centerlines be fully polished or is there a coating/anodised finish to make them satin? Been after a certain offset pair for a while, but need polished versions. Thanks, Lee Title: Re: Satin Finish Centerlines Post by: TexasTom on November 14, 2013, 21:12:36 pm Mine are not anodized, just rough, turned surface.

Title: Re: Satin Finish Centerlines Post by: Iryanu on November 15, 2013, 09:44:44 am I have a set of both types, the satin looks like it's just been turned on a lathe a little. You could polish them no problem. It might take a while but it can be done.
Title: Re: Satin Finish Centerlines Post by: NoBars on November 15, 2013, 15:46:14 pm It is going to be difficult around the rivets to get a nice finish. better off getting a polished set if thats what you are after IMO.
Title: Re: Satin Finish Centerlines Post by: Cheesepanzer on November 19, 2013, 02:05:05 am Yes, no problem.
As suggested ^^^ immediately above, some polishing places struggle around the rivets, especially on deeper rims like a 15x6. Bubbles are easy. Title: Re: Satin Finish Centerlines Post by: leec on November 19, 2013, 02:38:36 am The rims are 15x7 and 3 inch backspace so not ideal from a polishing point of view then....

Lee Not ideal, you could always split them if you wanted to get right in there, I've never seen the rivets for sale separately though. You'd have to bolt them back together, which is no bad thing really. At least you'd be able to change tyres without a machine! ;D And if you used coach head bolts no one would ever know. Bit too far to go just to polish them mind. I've got a pair of 3.5" centerlines in satin finish for a 4x130 car with 135s on if you want a matched set. Yours are probably wide 5 though so no matter! I had 10 centerlines in various sizes and pcds this time last month, I wish I'd taken some detailed pictures of all the differences they had, and some sort of hill billy "GUNS N FISHIN RODS" picture with them, kinda lying next to all the sexy wheels in nothing but a pair of bright green speedos, hurst copper shifter in hand. Would have been a great picture. VOGUE! Title: Re: Satin Finish Centerlines Post by: andy M. on November 19, 2013, 15:25:01 pm You're weird
