Title: Ignition Lead Tubes - Variation for performance leads Post by: Deanodynosaurs on November 21, 2013, 16:51:50 pm Hi all,
I'm trying to tidy my engine bay up, an one thing I really want to neaten up up is the ignition leads. I know the leads need to be kept apart as current can jump across leads, and I have used the proper MSD lead separators, which are attached to a bar running across the fanshroud (i.e. a variation on the tube). However, being a steel bar, is the current just going to find a easy route through the bar if it does jump? I.e. the same as not separating them? Any comments much appreciated. Lee Hi Lee, Good idea. :) I hadn't thought of that, and that should be OK as i can still insert riv nuts in it as well. :) However, i think i might have come up with a simpler solution that does away with the tube all together. Basically some 's' shaped brackets mounted to the fan tin and thermostat tin wear screws. I'll have a play and see what i can come up with this weekend. Cheers Dude 8) |
