My first trip to a drag strip was to Lions. I would have been like 5 years old I think. Dyno, when James was painting that Pomona image, he contact me about a photo I had, taken by the late Charles Strutt. He wanted to look at all the people in the background to paint each of them exactly as they were (clothing, shoes, hats, jackets, etc). Amazing attention to detail.
