Title: What Mirrors
Post by: RIP356 on December 07, 2013, 04:12:50 am
My 67 doesnt have mirrors and as I am just about to paint it I was wondering what mirrors to fit?
I dont have access to a hinge pin removal tool so I cant fit mirrors on the pin.
I dont like Albert ones.
Do Talbot mirrors fit CalLook ?
I also like the Durant ones that were fitted to 356's.
Amy ideas or thoughts appreciated
Dave

Have you seen Feb 75 HotVW's?!

I also like the Durant ones that were fitted to 356's.

I like to think so ;)

Talbot mirrors have been in our scene since day one. The bad part is that mounting one so it looks good on the door, and being able to actually use it, are two completely different things.

This is the truth.

I mounted one on my drivers door and it looked great, as for visibility.... I saw the rear fender and that was about it, on maximum adjustment outwards! If you could put a convex lens in so that it gave a wider field of view then they would be pretty functional. I think they're really meant to be mounted further forward on a quarter panel or something like that, I don't know?

I've fitted a Talbot with the larger mirror, really good rear vision  :)

Hi!
Talbot made a model for the beetle too, but these are very hard to find.
With the double-arm mouning you can see pretty good.

Nice greetings

Marcel

Vitaloni Tornado, as cal look as they get. With good rear vision. I expected them to be shit, but they have held up nice... they are firm and are not rattling and shaking the rear view.

The baby Tornado were used quite a lot for 80-90s cal look. I'm still a great fan and like the rear view that they provide.

Cheers
