Fit's beetle,ghia & type 3 if ya wanted to use it in one. The shift knob is original and in great condition. The shifter has been painted satin black along with the shifter base. The original rubber boot is good but has a rip as pictured but you can't tell as it's on the bottom and does not show when looking at it unless you bend the rubber back. Comes with the bottom shift plate and original spring. This is a very nice useable shifter for any vw.
