The answer is here, I have used the same method with a simple 3/8 flare nut. Good luck.

Thank's Tom.

Is there a way to make the speedo show the right speed?

I think they do a gps interface but you would need an electronic speedo from them

Look around for a GPS speedo ---- solves all your problems until you go into a tunnel LOL -- we put one in a buddies car and it works great

I had a cable done years ago when I put my autometer speedo in

It involves a vw lower half and the gm style top with a litttle ratio box in between to give the correct reading

I had to give them the rolling  length of the front tyre and send them the gauge for them to make the cable for me . Checked it with my sat nav and it was with 1 or 2mph at 70 mph. I had a couple made at the time

I sure the company was somewhere in Wales but can't remember the name sorry

Regards Ron

I used Speedycables for mine and they delivered the cable back very quickly and works great.  From memory I sent them a VW speedo cable and they converted it to the Autometer spec required.
