How are multi stage pumps such as pauter/autocraft/peterson connected internally ? From pictures I see the pump bodies are made of sections but are the gears/shafts one piece or connected ? In basic terms, can a 3 stage pump be made into a 4 stage by simply buying/adding another section ? Thanks Darren Ps, I'm looking for a 4 stage used pump if anyone has one. If you had two 2-stage pumps, you could assemble the stages into a 3 or 4-stage pump if you had custom input and idler shafts made.
