Title: Oval window sunroof measurements Post by: Frenchy Dehoux on February 12, 2014, 04:42:13 am I need someone that has an oval window 1956 or 1957 sunroof and give me the measurement from the edge of the center of the windshield rubber to the edge where the sunroof meets the opening. If you could have the measuring tape in the picture so I can see the distance. I really appreciate the help. Is there some other measurement that would work?

From the inside edge of the windshield center to the edge of the sunroof. Frenchy Title: Re: Oval window sunroof measurements Post by: 56BLITZ on February 20, 2014, 23:36:55 pm Will do!
I'll take photos so you will be able to see exactly where I took the measurement. It might be Saturday before I can post photos . . . hope that'll do for ya. I have the tape pressed to the header panel and running parallel to the reinforcement plate where the ragtop hook will catch.
[attachment=1] It is 3 5/16" (3.3125") from the header to the 90 degree bend on the headliner clip. [attachment=2] Title: Re: Oval window sunroof measurements Post by: 56BLITZ on February 23, 2014, 02:32:52 am This is for the outside . . . .
The dial-calipers are 12" and I have one jaw flat and tight to the opening where the ragtop hook will catch . . . [attachment=1] The other jaw is contacting the front edge of the windscreen opening. [attachment=2] The distance is "as the crow flies" . . . . 5.886" [attachment=3] Title: Re: Oval window sunroof measurements Post by: Frenchy Dehoux on February 23, 2014, 19:15:36 pm Thank You very much for your help on this.
