The chrome on it is very nice with no pitting or peeling or discoloration very nice chrome. Has the original shift knob "made in usa - Chicago" it shift's great. I've been using this one for awhile now but got another cooler shifter in my possesion that I'm gonna throw on instead. The holes for the bolts that bolt it down onto the tunnel were made larger so I just used bigger washers and it work great. It comes with the original plastic boot but no rubber boot. The original boot has no crack's but it has a chip on the bottom and it's alittle warped on the bottom aswell from being in the desert all these years. You can replace the old boot with new ones and your good to go. You will not have a problem with this shifter.
