Title: Best way to store engine parts
Post by: Jesse/DVK on May 26, 2014, 09:48:30 am
Due to some reasons I need to store my engine parts for a longer time. What is the best way to store them. Offcourse after taking them of the engine I will clean them thoroughly but what than?

Thanks!

ziploc bags, except for the engine case ;)

I either coat them in oil or spray lube on them then bag of cling film them, I found leaving them clean and dry would gain surface rust

Same here. I give them a thin, protective coat before I wrap all the parts in plastic film/wrap (gladpack)
