Title: Jaycee Chevy rear brakes
Post by: leec on July 09, 2014, 22:22:38 pm
I am thinking about buying these from Jack@Jaycee for the notchback project.

http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=885841

I already have the calipers and caliper brackets (Jamar billet) which I am hopin I can run the the Jaycee hubs in the link above.

I know I have to buy strange rotors/discs but how do they attach to the Jaycee hub? The only thing I can see is the wheel studs hold it all together?
Any help appreciated.

I'm Not familiar with those at all, but there appears to be a register on the hub to locate the disc radially, it's common for the disc to be clamped by just wheel bolts, my circuit car so equipped,, it can't move anywhere, the register doing centrifugal duty, but a stud conversion makes wheel fitting so much easyer, many late euro boxes now use such floating disc set ups, not even the usual small locating screw they used to get, cost cutting? wheel fitting with bolts is bad enough for mechanics, so a pen pusher would need to phone a man what can...

Great,
Thanks for the pic. So it is the wheel stud that holds both parts together then.
