Title: To hone or just run 'em...? Post by: type149doug on July 25, 2014, 00:02:20 am I sent a set of cylinders out to be freshened up but the machine shop found some damage. So I may be faced with buying a new set of 94mm pistons and cylinders. Would you just run them or would you hone them before installing them?

Title: Re: To hone or just run 'em...? Post by: type149doug on July 29, 2014, 00:20:39 am Hey Don, There were small cracks at the base of the cylinder... That's all I know. I suggested machining the cylinder or blending away the cracks so they can't migrate. We'll see. Waiting on info from the shop.
