Far as I know, Russ Hare still owns this car.  Seeing Russ in the black Afro wig brought back memories from a couple years back when those pics were taken (Classic weekend).  Kymco had a big party Friday night (before Classic) with a car show, carne asada, brew, live band, one toilet for about 200 guzzlers and Russ (with his buddy Jack Daniels).  The band was playing right next to the line waiting for the john when Russ decided he had to go...but not before he'd spun out and fallen into the band.  In the resulting confusion, the door to the john opened and Russ slipped past all that were waiting...nice move! ;D

Hey Gang,

We are just throwing it out there to see if there is any interest. If it goes, I have some other VW projects that could use some attention. To be honest I have mixed emotions on getting rid of Sloval. It's almost irreplacable and I am pretty sure I will need to spend some of the money on an ass-kicking machine if it sells. I am glad some of you guys still remember the car. Barona is a great track but when you are use to old Carlsbad, nothing compares. My heart broke when that track closed. I know that track got a lot of static for being a sorry excuse for a drag strip but damn-it, it was our play ground and you know if your car hooked there, it would hook anywhere. Sarge, the KYMCO party KICKED MY ASS. I remember an unplanned stage dive over an amp the band had set up when I recieved my top 20 Cal-Look award. Embarrassing! Sorry for rambling on. I have not posted in a while. I hope everyone is doing well.

KS, Yer i sort of new she was built like that but was trying to find out when thats all.... Im waiting for a friend to give me a few leads on two cars Im chasing so ill be busy anyway....
