Title: NOS Hurst Shifter - **SOLD** Post by: restojohnny on December 27, 2014, 19:16:26 pm Okay I know the rubber boot is slightly ripped on the top edge but I've had this one for awhile now....It is N.O.S. purchased new in 74 the guy installed it pullled the trigger for the 1st time and snapped the reverse cable so he was so mad he removed it and threw it in his garage cabinet and forgot about it until he put it for sale in his yard sale LOL.... **I'VE REPLACED THE REVERSE CABLE AND THE ORIGINAL RIVETS WERE OBVIOUSLY REMOVED AND REPLACED WITH NEW BOLTS AND NUTS** so now it is an excellent working shifter. Look at the handle it's clean with zero wear and the chrome is perfect. THe boots are nice with the plastic boot just alittle dirty but it's not brittle it's like new but the edges of the top rubber boot has a few slight rips on the top edge as pictured. Also the original "made in chicago" shift knob is nice. It's alittle dirty around the cage area from sitting in the same place for since 1974 until I got it about a 1 year ago and it's been sitting in my display case in the same condition as I didn't clean it except wipe the dust off the chrome for the pictures.
