Title: Case Stud Torque
Post by: Paul Bahnstormerz on January 25, 2015, 23:13:28 pm
Bolting the heads using Scat 8740 chromoly studs and Gene Berg case conversion kit with 8mm x 15mm wrench nuts. The studs didn't come with any notes on torque so going with the Berg advice  of 19-20lbs, is that enough? What torque would you recommend?

I've been using the Scat 8 mm chromoly head studs for years in my 2332 cc with both CB 044 and JPM MS230 heads whiile sticking with the stock torque specification.  No issues in my street-strip Beetle :)
