first wrap it in bubblewrap and cardboard, securing it with racetape, then suspend the door layiing flat so the hing fits into a vise. using assorted metal rod (like a cut drill bit) and a socket to push aginst, slowly press it out. works to press in the new hingepin too. just take your time and be sure the door is secured firmly. a second person is very helpful. New style is better and can be used on both Bug / Bus hinge's . I sell them on the samba .
