i have an early autometer tach which I'd like to use. The rear wiring has two smaller wires connected to diodes which are coloured yellow and blue. is it the same principle of snipping wires to convert it from 8 cylinder to 4 cylinder use? If so which wire or do I snip both ? Model number is 288 which is a 8 k tach I guess from the late 70's Done the Google thing but can't find anything Thanks in advance Ron Title: Re: Early autometer tach to 4 cylinders Post by: Taylor on March 31, 2015, 03:29:49 am I believe this is correct.
