The Cal-look Lounge

OK, this is for serious collectors only, and I'm not even quite sure what value to place on it, other than to say this is totally unique and unrepeatable.

I have three things all related to the publication of the 'Bible' – my California Look VW book, published back in 1995.

1) The original signed contract between myself and Bay View Books, dated 18 October 1994. Signed by me and Charles Herridge, Director of Bay View Books. This A4 sheet details the terms and conditions for publishing the book, number of words, photos etc, plus publishing rights. One of the rarest pieces of paper you can imagine...

2) The first colour proof of the front cover, which had to be signed off prior to the book going to print. This is in mint condition and would be perfect for framing.

3) The original synopsis of the book as sent to book wholesalers ahead of starting the project to let people know what the book is all about. Consist of a two-page overview of the book, followed by a further two-page breakdown of every chapter. This is followed by two copies of an eight-page document called the 'dummy' – a set of roughly laid-out pages (including a mock-up of a cover that was never used) with photos to be used in the book, captions, etc, but with dummy text instead of the final words (after all, the real book hadn't been written at this point!).

Yes, I know it's an esoteric collection of material but I've not looked at it since 1994, so maybe it's better to be part of somebody else's (serious) collection.

Price? You tell me... I have a car to finish and the ££££, €€€€ or $$$$ would be very useful!
