This might be a stupid question but I've just found a piece of mig wire in one of my slicks . I install screws in the lips of the rim so the tire cannot spin on the rim. I have always run tubes because they keep my air pressure more consistant and do not go flat between races LOL . On my new "Street " car I added screws and to the rear tires because I spun them on the rims also, 2387 Turbo . I would never plug or patch a slick because of the heat and flexibility normal with them . Mike McCarthy
