Be good to see it running with the outlaws again. Did it have a gearbox? Lee Title: Re: x/19 Post by: dannyboy on May 31, 2015, 18:58:37 pm yes everything apart from motor and tach its cool pretty basic but i reckon itll do the buisness just fine :)

Title: Re: x/19 Post by: Neil Davies on June 01, 2015, 19:10:49 pm Nice one Danny! Wasn't the gearbox in the Fiat all mad ratios? 9600rpm across the line? From the incar footage from when Ian had it it looks lovely to drive.
Title: Re: x/19 Post by: WPS on June 01, 2015, 22:00:51 pm Already spoken to Danny about this...great car to drive, nearly bought it back myself a number of times rather than have it sitting doing fuck all!!
Always sub 1.50 60fts (1.42 best) and went 10.85@122mph reaching max revs well before the line...wrong ratios for the bitzer motor (200hp?) that was in it.....it ran on 7 1/2 lash caps one weekend as no-one had any 11/32" stuff at the track!! Still ran 10's.......The plan was for a 1680 10,000rpm motor.....one day it'll go in the 850. It does like IDA's tho' Danny none of that ECU Laptop witchcraft bloody wires everywhere nonsense!! ;D Have fun ...we did...looking forward to seeing it again....in the next lane.... Ian Title: Re: x/19 Post by: dannyboy on June 01, 2015, 22:16:36 pm its going to have efi ian ...time for it to come into the modern era and run some decent times ;) :D
itll be runnig a little gas on the street motor out of vert for this season and ill be working on a high rpm 1776 motor as and when had to tuck it up in lockup this arvo as i spent most of the day at the workshop looking at it and sitting in it doing 7 second passes :D :D :D Title: Re: x/19 Post by: Phil West on June 11, 2015, 18:37:25 pm Great stuff well played Danny ;D

Title: Re: x/19 Post by: dannyboy on June 21, 2015, 17:52:23 pm car ran well today a bit of a misfire that needs sort ing over 6k and the clutch needs rebuilding as it needed to be pumped to get a pass with all gears :D but 11.7 shifting at 6k will do me for a shakedown test
:) Title: Re: x/19 Post by: leec on June 21, 2015, 18:00:36 pm Not bad for a first days racing. Well done

Title: Re: x/19 Post by: Neil Davies on June 21, 2015, 21:50:11 pm Well done Danny. I've always loved this little car - was such a shame when Ian sold it outside the club so I'm really glad to see it back in the fold. You'll have it back in the 10's in no time, just hope I can be there to see it at some point!
Title: Re: x/19 Post by: dannyboy on June 21, 2015, 22:02:58 pm cheers .i dont think 10s will be a problem with a little gas im already thinking about single numbers for it ..... :P

Title: Re: x/19 Post by: dannyboy on June 22, 2015, 09:57:57 am will be good when the clutch holds pressure ,and i can reach pedals properly....

Title: Re: x/19 Post by: leec on May 17, 2018, 13:50:56 pm Hi Danny,
That's great news regarding the chassis. Did it need extra tubes? Lee Title: Re: x/19 Post by: dannyboy on May 17, 2018, 17:28:26 pm just the two from main hoop to rear shock mounts .i added about 16 gussets all round the chassis though to add more strength and added bits here and there
Title: Re: x/19 Post by: leec on May 17, 2018, 18:00:15 pm Cool.
Must have been a well built chassis from the start then. Be good to see it in action at weekend Lee Title: Re: x/19 Post by: dannyboy on June 09, 2018, 17:27:48 pm after a fun days testing for door slammer event the cheap fix box shat itself first pass on the gas .data showed it should go like fuck when the proper box goes in this week though so its all good :D
fingers crossed ill have it all back together for next weekend and all going well get a good few passes without nasty noises coming form the gearbox..... Title: Re: x/19 Post by: dannyboy on June 15, 2018, 23:01:00 pm well new box is in just in time for street car shootout weekend so fingers crossed the new box hold the power of the mighty fiat :D
