Title: SCS HB5 head Post by: HERB on June 06, 2015, 20:27:37 pm I have a set of SCS HB5 cylinder heads- circa 1984- on my car and I'm trying to find some info on them regarding flow figures. Any ideas out there? These are a large oval port welded head, valve size 40 x 35.

I just want to make sure that the heads I get will actually be a step up in performance.

I'm wondering what has changed in the last few decades with heads. Big valve heads are much cheaper now and hemi and semi-hemi chambers seem to be a thing of the past. What about porting, any new ideas in the past few years besides CNC? Do flow benches still work the same, and cost the same to use?
