Title: Case boring for 94 p&cs - problem Post by: qubek on September 10, 2007, 21:11:00 pm I just got my case bored for 94 p&c's and there is one thing that bothers me. On other cases I've seen in the past the cut made to place cylinders at the same hight was quite deep. The "step" on which a stock cylinder lies disappears completely. On the one I got, it is not cut down completely. Of course it's much thinner then with stock cylinders.
I made some pictures to show the thinnest place. I don't know, I'm afraid that it is not enough to support the cylinder. On the other hand, I would prefer not to have the case machined again. What do you think? The engine will be mild anyway (at least for a while) and I would really like to start the assembly. On the other hand, I don't have time (nor money) to rebuild it again if it brakes :) As always - no straight answer. UD.
