i made one of these myself out of a stock one. cut the upper part off, flip it upside down and weld it to the base with a spacer. works like a charm

That doesn't work all stock shifter bases are the same dimension/size so it will not slip into the Dds shifter base also the diameter of the hole on a stock shifter base is much smaller than a Dds shifter cup so the ball end of the Dds shifter will not fit because it is bigger and will not allow the shifter ball end to sit properly not allowing the shift base to sit right as it must be made bigger to accept the Dds shift ball not to mention you have to cut the slit on it to allow the pin to sit so the shifter itself will not spin round and round which makes the Dds shifter useless. You cannot just cut off a stock base and weld it into a shifter plate and expect it will work also you must grind down the reverse lockout lip on the stock shift plate for the reverse lockout pin to clear as well  ;) now you all know how to make one LOL have at it ya'll  ;D

well i managed and it works. sure you have to do some investigating and modify the stock base (and cut the slit). but it isnt rocket sience
1st pic: DDS outer base part, DDS inner base part, stock part
2nd pic: DDS on the left, stock upper part cut off (right)
3rd pic: DDS on the left, slit cut into stock part (right)
4th pic: DDS on the left, stock lower plate (reverse lockout) used as baseplate

5th pic: DDS on the left, spacer (cut down steel velocity stack) welded on the stock reverse lockout and to the flipped stock upper part
6th pic: finished and welds ground down to fit the outer (DDS) part. have it in the grey 67 and it works flawlessly after two years

Awsome I never would of thought to use a velocity stack as I use the original base. Karl....Looks awsome  :)
