I'm gonna be running a magneto in my street car . Obviously I can just use the old live wire which would normally run to the coil , and run it to a separate switch which earths it . My question is , I would like to be able to turn the mag off with the standard ignition switch . When I turn the switch on , surely it could turn another switch off to un-earth the mag . Simple stuff I'm sure , but I'm not much of an electrician . Andy Sykes , you're good with wires n stuff ! I've used the autometer rev limiter box before and this makes the mag work on the ignition key, you can alway hide it under the rear seat if you don't want it on show and you get a bit of high rev insurance as well You could do a search on my for sale adds which will show you the one I was using.
