Title: ERCO wheels Post by: thehanz DVK on February 09, 2016, 07:39:08 am Hi i bought myself a set off 4 lug erco wheels, i was wondering if i could machine them to 5 x 205, size wise it can be done , the centerhole is bigger then were the 4 x 130 hole's are now so that's no problem
but how are these wheels held together ? looks like they are welded in a few spots, should i put a few new welds in at a larger diameter ? the machining and drilling won't be the problem , but will the wheels stay in one piece ??? also thingking about gold anodizing or painting anyone done this before ?? Not personally done the job myself but when they tried the first time there were problems and they had to seal the two halves to stop the solution leaking. Gold ercos look great done properly

On the site They say you should use mat black first, but first option for me would be the anodising , if that's not gonna happen then i Will look in to the plastidip Some more Title: Re: ERCO wheels Post by: dth on February 09, 2016, 18:30:57 pm We done a set a few years ago with no worries , still going strong now :) did you do any welding or just maching ? clear my CSP brakes without spacers , so sold them to a friend. :) |
