Title: Race rules Post by: fahrvergnugen on February 28, 2016, 19:16:10 pm Can somebody tell me if it's allowed to have the fuel pumps and filter in the car? (where originally the battery is)
Title: Re: Race rules Post by: Trond Dahl on February 28, 2016, 20:28:14 pm Turn it around, why do you want to?
I think it sounds like a bad idea :-\ Title: Re: Race rules Post by: Udo on February 28, 2016, 23:22:01 pm Can somebody tell me if it's allowed to have the fuel pumps and filter in the car? (where originally the battery is) There is no rule that allowes this , all fuel lines must be outside the driver cabinUdo Title: Re: Race rules Post by: Tufty65 on February 29, 2016, 12:30:53 pm In the msa regs it says it's ok but not sure for what as rally cars have lines inside the cabin to protect against rocks and stones and all filters etc have to be covered.
C(b)15.1-3 All vehicles MUST - Have any fuel lines passing through the driver/passenger compartment protected and, if nonmetallic, to be internally or externally metal braided hydraulic pressure hose or fuel lines complying with FIA specifications. Title: Re: Race rules Post by: dragvw2180 on February 29, 2016, 14:01:23 pm If it was me I would rather run the fuel line inside the tunnel , fuel pump as close to fuel cell as possible and fuel filter/regulator as close to engine as possible. It is what I have done . Mike

In dragracing it is not allowed . Tunnel is the best way and fuel pump next to the tank Udo Title: Re: Race rules Post by: fahrvergnugen on March 01, 2016, 22:14:31 pm Thanks all.
