Stan Davis  :o ::) ;D  Stan showed up one day from Washington in a Zenith blue '69 sedan with a checkerboard nose bra.  He held a number of jobs, one of which was at the local Imported Car Parts store on State College in Anaheim where he "helped" a lot of us with our parts problems (not enough money...no problem).  One of my favorite Stan tales took place at a club party for Doug Gordon's birthday.  Stan was moving from the apartment where the party was held and things got quickly out of hand.  All of us brought gag gifts for Doug including the GIANT pair of Levi's from off the wall at the Orange Army Navy Store (Art & Tony Alvarez's folks owned the place).  At the time, Stan had a job at Don's (adult) Book Store...his "present" was a two foot long, double ended, black "marital aid." :o :o :o  The high point of the party was seeing two guys drunker then skunks, one in each leg of the Levi's, bouncing up and down on the bed with Stan's "gift" hung out the front... ::) :o ;D ;D ;D

You got that right, Nicolas!  Somewhere along the line, Stan needed a place to stay for a "week."  Sharon (my wife) and I lived in a rented 800 sq ft two bedroom house in Brea at the time and agreed to let Stan have the second bedroom.  Well, as you've probably already guessed, the week turned into six weeks...we finally had to ask him to leave.  During those weeks though, it was pretty entertaining.  Stan's idea of dinner was to sit down in front of the TV with a loaf of Wonder Bread and a big jar of Skippy Peanut Butter (nothing to drink) and eat four or five sandwiches.  Stan was great on the dance floor at Pinwinny's Thursday nights, too...the man had RHYTHEM (we all thought of him as a black man in a white mans body at the time)!  He was also a photo / camera nut...had the only 35 mm camera back then and took countless pictures.  Too bad nobody knows where he is...a virtual treasure trove for sure!
