Title: Smiths gauges on a cal look , good idea ? Post by: AngelzDD on April 13, 2016, 21:18:27 pm Hello cal looker !
I've got a little question ! What do you think about Smiths gauges ? It's a good idea or not in a cal looker ? See yah ! Title: Re: Smiths gauges on a cal look , good idea ? Post by: Fastbrit on April 13, 2016, 22:23:44 pm A totally irrelevant question. If you like them, use them. If you don't, then don't.
Follow your own path, not one dictated by others. ;) Title: Re: Smiths gauges on a cal look , good idea ? Post by: Martin S. on April 14, 2016, 15:03:34 pm I'd say no. Sell em and get VDO. Jet cockpit 8)

Here is the tacho [attachment=1] And here is the fuel tank gauges ! [attachment=2] Title: Re: Smiths gauges on a cal look , good idea ? Post by: modnrod on April 14, 2016, 23:17:18 pm ........ the two from Crashed MG B ! A crashed MGB!!! It must have been going flat out in the right lane when it was run over from behind by something much faster.........like a diesel Transit. ;D The tacho you can fit a small "tach chip" to the needle, most instrument places can do this easy enough if it's broken, and since it's Smiths, that's likely. The later versions had a VDO bobbin in the back, they work better (go figure, huh?). Title: Re: Smiths gauges on a cal look , good idea ? Post by: 56BLITZ on April 15, 2016, 19:46:03 pm looks like that car was not going too fast when the driver was tapping on the face of the tach tryin' to get the needle to move.
