Title: Re: '66 sunroof Post by: beetletom on September 28, 2007, 11:10:27 am hi guys--great website! lots of good info and inspiration. this is my project, a '66 sunroof. motor is a 2110 with ida's with a berg 5. original brms but no money for paint! car should be ready for next summer...cheers awesome!! my 65 looks very similar (paintwise...) and wheels 8) Title: Re: '66 sunroof Post by: Jon on September 28, 2007, 12:11:46 pm Now THAT is a hard car!
Just weld up those holes and paint it yourself! Title: Re: '66 sunroof Post by: JS on September 28, 2007, 12:42:40 pm I totally agree! Should be a nice car in that color. Kind of like Arnie Mohlmann old car.
Title: Re: '66 sunroof Post by: Trent B on September 28, 2007, 20:04:52 pm thanks for the kind words!
yes, I narrowed the front axle slightly (two inches overall) only to make it work with the jatech drop spindles, they increased my track too much- so I had to do it... tires are 145 michelin and M&H 6" slicks... more pics and progress to come soon Title: Re: '66 sunroof Post by: nicolas on October 01, 2007, 08:50:09 am very nice car! i like the attitude allready. should come out good in the same colour. but i would also weld up the holes for that distinctive callook look 8)
Title: Re: '66 sunroof Post by: Trent B on August 05, 2008, 09:16:47 am Its still alive! but 66 sunroof is no longer a sunroof. A hard top roof was grafted in (under drip rails) paint is coming soon
