Post by: mr horsepower on May 18, 2016, 20:02:01 pm
Hello loungers
As i am try to figure out how much camber on the rear wheels
I need on my irs bug
I am struggiling with it quite long now
Can t get i right
Getting tyred of it .
Still cant post pics on my topic to show the problem
I moved the rear torsion 1 tooth
And now its way to high
I moved the inner btw
I am running out of options and energy
Race day in 1,5 week and time is ticking
The car sits like there is no engine in it
One tooth less and it sits on the bump stops

Help :'(

Lower one click inside, and raising one click outside is about 5mm lowering.

So 5 lowering clicks inside and 5 raising outside is about an inch down.

The splines inside the torsion housing are courser than the ones on the plates.

^^^^^^ this is how it is, however, if you have larger than stock torsions, there will be reduced deflection and Spring plate angle, so your base setting will be ' lower' than the stock Spring plate inclination, for example, with 22mm stock bars, there will be considerable settle on the suspension, with say 29 or 30mm bars, there would be minimal settle and the unloaded spring plate would be fitted almost directly on to the lower stop by hand with little or no pre load.
