Title: High profile shunts
Post by: vwhelmot on May 30, 2016, 12:32:30 pm
Bad weekend for a few racers this weekend. Sorry to hear Richie Webb and Kris Lauffer had some fenderbenders but glad both are ok.  Hope they can rebuild their cars and move forward.

Looking at Eurodragster, Richie was the third car to hit the guardrail there this weekend - Roger Johannsen in a Pro Mod and Paul Hudson in another Super Comp car, so all sub-8.9's. From what I read, all three turned right after the finish line. The Pro Mod driver was worst hurt with a broken leg but he hit at over 200mph. The other two were ok I think but hopefully Richie will be on later to let us know.

That is one scary run for kris Lauffer. The noise when he hit the guardrail was disturbing. Check out the photo's on Instagram on his run.

Even worse was the opening in the guard rails with just cones standing there, wtf?
If his car was a bit more forward he would have hit face first into the rail... That looked really scary

Kris's in car video, just got loose at the end of the run?
Nice to see him jump out unhurt.  8)
