Title: Thinking about my cars colour Post by: ballbag on September 29, 2007, 20:42:37 pm It's going for a respray in a few weeks, this is what it used to look like.
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/ballbag/My%20Bug/bugcent.jpg) (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/ballbag/My%20Bug/DSCF0898.jpg) This is what it llooks like now. (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/ballbag/Bug%20Resto/cleangarage.jpg) (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/ballbag/Bug%20Resto/driversfinish.jpg) Now, the guy who's doing the bodywork reckons i should have it L41 black, I on the other hand think it would be a shame to deviate from the original L469 Anthracite. It was restored 16 years ago but the colour they put on was not a good match to that but, I still think i should keep it the same what do you reckon? Although i do love L41 black..... Title: Re: Thinking about my cars colour Post by: leec on September 29, 2007, 21:25:45 pm I had a similar problem when my 63 went for paint,
I got a great bit of advice-if you cant pick another colour paint it the original colour! Title: Re: Thinking about my cars colour Post by: Russell on September 29, 2007, 22:18:17 pm for whats it worth, i too would leave black out, but if you are going to change it can i suggest dark red or dark green...........

I am very towards keeping it real to be honest, i do love that L41 though. grey is the way i think http://bp0.blogger.com/_6bVe5B-gL6E/Rrbb3BNE4vI/AAAAAAAABUM/saDo80H80hY/s1600-h/IMG_7235.JPG Title: Re: Thinking about my cars colour Post by: louisb on September 30, 2007, 03:34:25 am Aye, grey.

I have a brick red interior and a set of genuine centrelines to go on. I would have to stick with a vw colour that's period correct, up to 63.
