Title: Louvers Yes / No Post by: Helge/DFL on January 19, 2017, 16:34:32 pm I am thinking about to press some louvers in the decklit of my black `62. What do you think? Is that Cal Look?
Title: Re: Louvers Yes / No Post by: leec on January 19, 2017, 16:41:48 pm I think they are more suited to a de-chromed car personally
Lee Edit-and I really like your car as it is :) Title: Re: Louvers Yes / No Post by: baz on January 19, 2017, 17:50:43 pm Cabriolet louvres would look better imo
Title: Re: Louvers Yes / No Post by: Zach Gomulka on January 19, 2017, 17:54:54 pm Do it on a spare decklid, try it out.
Title: Re: Louvers Yes / No Post by: Martin S. on January 19, 2017, 17:56:39 pm Cal-look would be to leave the decklid at home :D
Title: Re: Louvers Yes / No Post by: Andrew on January 19, 2017, 20:19:11 pm Why not get a cab deck lid and paint it to match your car?

Title: Re: Louvers Yes / No Post by: Jim Ratto on January 19, 2017, 22:01:41 pm Do you need to admit more fresh air into engine?
If so, maybe consider doing like the 1974- cars (maybe North America only?) had the air flap vent behind license plate? The old VW number for it was 133-827-601. If you can find a good working one, maybe work that into your stock decklid.... I've thought about doing something similar to the vent behind license plate on my '67 and removing lower standoff. Title: Re: Louvers Yes / No Post by: mg on January 20, 2017, 04:33:40 am I think Louvers look fine...so does Dave.
