I have seen some rlr shocks on aircooled.net but they are pretty expensive Title: Re: Front drag shocks for king link pin Post by: numbnuts on October 10, 2017, 16:41:08 pm Think Ritchie posted a link to these previously, anyone know if they are suitable for King and link pin?

I spoke with customer services at GAZ and they are confirming which model they have but they do sell a 90/10 shock for beetles Title: Re: Front drag shocks for king link pin Post by: numbnuts on December 14, 2017, 13:27:41 pm Well if anyone is interested in this apart from me the response from GAZ is that the GT5-2301 shocks are what I need and they will cost £55.00 each + carriage & vat
Hope this helps someone in the future Title: Re: Front drag shocks for king link pin Post by: leec on December 14, 2017, 14:43:22 pm So that's the part number from GAZ for a 90/10 shock for a link pin beam?
If so.....Ask them if we get discount for 2 pairs. I need a pair for the notch Lee After a quick google, are you sure that part number isn't just a standard adjustable shock? Title: Re: Front drag shocks for king link pin Post by: Neil Davies on December 14, 2017, 17:16:04 pm I had the Competition Engineering shocks on the front of my old car. It was balljoint rather than linkpin, but they were 3-way adjustable 90/10, 60/40 and somewhere in between. Muffler Mike had some shock tower extensions to allow him to use longer versions which were easier to get IIRC.

Yes the guy I spoke with said he needed to valve it correctly to be a 90/10 shock, he seemed to be very knowledgeable about it. The rears are the same price but valved differently Already paid for them and also the rears as in the link, wish I knew about the GAZ rears before I ordered from the states ::) Title: Re: Front drag shocks for king link pin Post by: leec on December 14, 2017, 21:10:38 pm Cool, let me know what you think of them when you get them

Title: Re: Front drag shocks for king link pin Post by: Mattatat on January 22, 2018, 16:53:02 pm I ordered the balljoint style and cut the eye off some old ones sitting around. Cut the stud off and welded the eye to the top.
