There's less surface to take the power, or doesn't it matter that much? glauco Title: Re: Berg cam gear mod Post by: Tufty65 on September 08, 2017, 13:13:07 pm I'd like to know how much of an increase in horsepower that actually would make, plus if you're chasing minimal horsepower gains like that why not just use a straight cut cam gear which saves hp anyway and removes thrust loads on the cam bearing and you don't have to bother with machining.

I am not sure why they did it but it apparently did not effect the strength of the gear as we are using K800 valve springs on this turbo engine .
