Title: Fluid damper / harmonic balancer
Post by: spoolin70 on February 05, 2018, 16:49:08 pm
Monday afternoon thinking out loud -

Why don't we use fluid dampers/ harmonic balancer pulleys ? I'm thing ATI, fluidampr, TCI etc

I need a dry sump pulley for my engine (to clear a Pauter pump) and like the idea of a heavy small pulley but why does nobody seem to use a pulley that's anything other than solid. Is it cost ? Availability ? Simply not needed or not even available ?

The closest I've seen to what I'm thinking about are the fisher pulleys but they don't seem too common.

Any thoughts loungers
Darren

Good man Taylor  :)

Is that the first time you've used one ? Was it from Fisher as in Fisher Buggies ?

Thanks
Darren

Have you tried GAC?

It's hard enough finding a compatible pulley without getting on the GAC  ;D

Anyone else tried a Fisher pulley ? Where can you buy them from ?
