Post by: Jim Ratto on October 18, 2007, 16:53:04 pm
Welcome long time VW-head Tony Mace, aka RACEHEAD! I used to buy VW stuff from this guy back before I had a driver's license at Buggy House, long before I worked there. Tony.... when are we going to put together a fast street car for you?  ;D

Go for it dude, break the "A real Cal Look Car has to be 1967 or earlier" mold!!!

Dump front end, disc brakes, 911 alloys, clean paint job, dechromed, match painted late bumpers, 200hp

BACK IN THE DAY - I STARTED IN ABOUT 1970 WORKING ON THESE CARS - MY DAD OWNED A SHOP IN SAN LEANDRO - BUG HOSPITAL - WE DID PARTS, MACHINE WORK, ENGINE BUILDING, AND FULL REPAIR SHOP - HE BUILT A CLEAN 1970 BUG - 2180cc WITH A RAJAY TURBO KIT - SEMI CAL LOOK - BUT FAST...... STILL TO THIS DAY I LIKE LATE MODLES - BUT A NICE CLEAN PRE-68 WOULD BE OK TOO.
