Title: Re: pro street screamer Post by: SOB/RFH on October 31, 2007, 22:12:24 pm wow this is one of the best features in a mag covering a build up of a VW motor..................I really wished they would have dug in to the heads and compared them to what was around at that time. 8)
Title: Re: pro street screamer Post by: Jim Ratto on October 31, 2007, 22:31:36 pm Those were a very trick set of heads, not only because of port work but also chambers and the coil-style guides. There was another article on the coil-type guides that Clyde was doing. With some more CR that motor would have been a real monster. What a pretty crankshaft.

I do rmemeber doing the article with dean christan, and doing the engine story for our race engine, at the time the super street record holder and the first time we had made over 300 horse power in 1992... Anyways great to see my OLD ride getting mentioned Aloha Gary Berg

Title: Re: pro street screamer Post by: Neil Davies on November 20, 2007, 11:42:22 am Is the car still in the berg family Gary? This is the car that Rick Zavala bought, and from what I hear hasn't been that well cared for. :( Title: Re: pro street screamer Post by: Bewitched666 on November 20, 2007, 22:15:48 pm Oh yeah thats the blue one forgot Rick bought it >:(
