Title: Porsche 914 gauges Post by: VWGlassee on January 21, 2019, 21:15:18 pm These 914 gauges arrived today. The speedometer will be mounted in the left dash grill. The rpm gauge i want to mount in the original speedometer hole.
Has anybody else done that? And how? Can’t find any photos on the internet of it. I was thinking to put these (see photo) from the original speedometer on the rpm gauge. If you want to run the Porsche tach in place of the VW speedometer. Simply grind off the lip that holds the rings in place. Go at it little by little, at some point the tachometer will fit in snugly with no need to hold it in place otherwise. I had these mounting studs attached to the speedometer also. |
