I bought a set of OG Gasburners for my '54 oval. In the front I will be running discs with 5x130 and dropped spindles. In the rear I want to keep drums for now but I can't find any 5x130 drums for early cars. Should I run adapters, this might be a good option because I believe you need to run a spacer at the back to clear the spring plates with gasburners. Thanks Title: Re: 5x130 on oval beetle Post by: aki on April 23, 2019, 21:55:06 pm I had OG Gasburners in my ex-oval in the past. I had discs in the front and converted rear to late beetle drums. First I had short axles and spacers (5-7mm if I remember correctly) but converted later to long axles. That was definitely better option in this combination. With ’54 you have different hand brake setup so I believe you might need flip the late model backing plates.
