Title: RIP Herbert Post by: karl h on June 11, 2019, 08:52:30 am close to all of us will have some kind of person they met through our beloved VW hobby. some will become life-long friends. this was the case with my buddy Herbert. he never was into the cal-look thing, he hade some superbeetles, a T2 camper and a T1 single cab, among others. he was always friendly, forever helpful.
i was shocked to hear of his lung cancer diagnosis a couple of months ago, he had chemotherapy twice, but last time i called him he wasnt even able to talk because he didnt get enough air. he died last week sunday, at the age of 53. he left a four year old son.
