Post by: Jukkis Maki on September 18, 2019, 15:05:03 pm
So guys, what do you think, is there any better camshaft than FK 98 for street racing? JPM? VZ-xx? Something else?

Fk-98 for street racing , I can think of quite a few better choices.
Not sure what your idea of street racing is but for my 2 cents if you have
Some good gearing and a min 2275 cc a WebCam 86c is a winner
Great idle and huge torque and even great top end . Engle fk-8 and 10
Great also.
Engine details gearing and weight big help as well as intended vehicle use
Good luck
Jim

FK98 in combination with a stout compression (13-15:1) and a set of really good heads and valve spring can be a lot of fun but it will not be very street friendly since it will not kick in before 3800 - 4000 rpms.

Been there - done that.

I’ve got an FK10 and it’s a superb cam. Lots of torque and sees 7000rpm no problem, that’s in my bus too ;D
