Title: Affordable exhaust (header and muffler) Post by: LoopyLoo60 on October 11, 2019, 20:02:48 pm Hi all,
Can I ask what exhaust setup everyone is running? Based in the UK and there are a couple which have caught my eye but the cost is just too much (CSP Wasp my preferred but out of budget). I'm getting a 1914 built so any advice appreciated! If you have any, pictures would also be great. all depends on your budget, if money is tight then run something like this: https://www.vwheritage.com/ac251708-stainless-steel-merged-exhaust-manifold-vw-spare and this: https://www.vwheritage.com/ac251711-stainless-steel-mondo-muffler-for-merged-exhaust-vw-spare Title: Re: Affordable exhaust (header and muffler) Post by: LoopyLoo60 on October 12, 2019, 06:00:25 am Thank you for the reply, that looks like an affordable option.
The only thing that caught my eye is the muffler states "1300-1600 engine". Will this be a problem for me or will it run fine on my 1914? Title: Re: Affordable exhaust (header and muffler) Post by: Lids on October 12, 2019, 11:51:57 am yes it will run fine

If you don't go too big with these, the 1300/1600 headers will be fine. On a 1904cc with stock size valves and 40IDF's I'm putting a 1300/1600 exhaust system and it's fine. |
