The Cal-look Lounge

I had a half hearted attempt at selling this a couple of years ago, but didn’t really want to let it go, but the time has now come to let someone else get some use out of it.

JMR built 2276 engine, aluminium case, FK87, CB ultra mag heads- 44x37.5, 10.7:1 c/r,stage 2 clutch etc etc full spec on request. Can sell as a long block for 4k, or can do a deal to include VW Speedshop exhaust, full Mallory ignition, 48 IDAs etc as required, PM if interested.
The engine has been stored for about ten years (rocker gear undone so valve springs aren’t compressed) so would recommend a strip and inspection before using it.
This is a serious engine and was originally built by John Maher for a rail running in vwdrc/pro.
The engine made 186 bhp on John's dyno with 48 idfs and a 009, with Ida's and the Mallory setup it will make a fair bit more. And that's good old British horsepower  ;D
