Title: Slick width selection. Post by: RUSS74GHIA on May 26, 2020, 09:01:12 am Hi all.
Is there a ‘rule of thumb’ when it comes to choosing what width slick to go for? I know this will very much depend on set up, so every car will be different. My old 170bhp/145ftlb motor was more than happy on my Phoenix 6W26, I could run them at 20psi and they didn’t even need warming. My new motor is 280bhp/300ftlb and obviously I’m wondering if they will keep, or if I’ll need to go up to proper 7s or even 8s. Any thoughts? Title: Re: Slick width selection. It was more along the lines of 6” up to 250bhp, 7” up to 350bhp and so on. Title: Re: Slick width selection. Post by: PPRMicke on May 26, 2020, 19:38:37 pm You should do with your 6" Wide (7 ") ON my old one had only 351hp @ 411Nm with a weight of 850 kg low 10 on 402 (60 F 1,43) Title: Re: Slick width selection.
